How to Apply

Joining the Cruise School is simple:

1. Complete the registration form
Fill in your personal, academic or professional information and provide the details required for participation.

2. Select your accommodation
Choose your preferred cabin type and, where applicable, indicate the names of your roommates or accompanying participants.

3. Receive confirmation and payment instructions
After submitting the form, you will receive further information by email regarding your registration and payment.

4. Complete the payment
Complete the payment within the applicable deadline to confirm your participation.

Your registration is considered complete once the required payment has been received.

The Cruise School welcomes PhD candidates, Master’s students, researchers and postdoctoral researchers, university professors and staff, professionals, managers and industry experts.

Participants from STEM, social sciences and humanities are welcome.

No specific disciplinary background is required.

Registration Confirmation

After submitting the registration form, you will receive an automatic confirmation email with a summary of your registration and the links to the payment forms.

Cabin Selection

Different accommodation options are available, including internal, external and balcony cabins, with different occupancy configurations.

Triple and quadruple cabins should normally be booked by pre-formed groups. If you are registering with other participants, please indicate their names in the registration form.

Participants requesting a shared cabin without already having cabin mates may be placed on a waiting list and matched with other participants according to availability.

Cabin availability is limited and some categories may become unavailable before registration closes.

Payment & Deadlines

Early Bird

To benefit from the Early Bird fee, payment must be completed by:

30 September 2026

PhD Candidates — 42nd Cycle

PhD candidates enrolled in the 42nd cycle may access the Early Bird fee if payment is completed by:

30 November 2026

Late Registration

Payments completed after the applicable Early Bird deadline are subject to the Late Registration fee.

Payment can be made by:

• Credit card through PagoPA
• Bank transfer

Detailed payment instructions will be provided after registration.

Registration fees are non-refundable, but participation may be transferred to another participant upon request and subject to organisational approval.

Complete Your Payment

After submitting the registration form, complete the payment through the official University of Genoa payment portal.

Please enter the amount corresponding to the cabin option selected in your registration.

Waiting List

Places on the Cruise School and individual cabin categories are subject to availability.

If demand exceeds the available capacity, a waiting list will be activated.

Applications will be considered according to availability and the order in which registration requests are completed.

We therefore recommend applying as early as possible, particularly if you require a specific cabin category.
